From early on when I was a lad, I determined to be an "artist". I prayed to God to allow me to struggle and suffer to be an artist. God, in His infinite wisdom, graciously granted me the first two.

As an artist I would seek out the 'truths' of life, acquire the skills and vision and one day somehow I would produce a masterpiece. It would change the world. It was a cause for me to live and die for! In some way, this goal seemed attractive and romantic to me. How grand and noble! I want very much to put something in the world that wasn't there before. It would be big and impressive and powerfully tangible. Whether it is attainable or not remains to be seen. I must wait until I die to find out. Nevertheless, it brings me great joy and happiness pursuing this dream.
