I have been practicing the art of jewelry-making since my teen-age years, and in order to preserve the passion I have for the whole process of design and fabrication, I have been and continue to be a one-of-a-kind jeweler. My process begins with design; I not only sketch ideas but then draft them so that I have templates for both the entire piece and the components that make up the piece. I select materials such as stones, beads or inlay materials that are lovely and/or unusual; I work mainly in sterling silver but will use brass, copper and gold as well. My colleagues regard me as a perfectionist; I am meticulous in execution and finishing and believe strongly in quality control. I strive to create pieces of jewelry that are reminiscent of waltzes by Chopin or the paintings of Botticelli: alluring, subtle, balanced, natural and harmonious. I want my jewelry to delight the wearer.
