Maya Ferrandiz is a South Orange resident and a student at Columbia Highschool. Inspired by her mother and her grandmother, who are also artists, Maya started making art at a very young age. Her oversized paintings are colorful and bold. Rooted in pop culture and graffiti art, her work is influenced by Keith Haring, Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Maya's work was selected to be included in this year's Inspired Minds exhibit at SOPAC. She mainly works with acrylic and spray paint.
