Hi, my name is Amanda Burns-Elhassouni and I am a commissioned portrait artist and illustrative painter / mixed media explorer. My work over the years is a range of materials and subject matter mostly figurative with pattern, texture, and unique styling all being highlights in telling a story. Currently, I am focused on a new body of work taken from my photographs of travels to places such as Morocco and Florida. My inspiration is a mixture of everyday life, interesting patterns, color, light, and shadow. Several original and print works will be available for purchase.

With my unique ability to capture moments, people and places, I will make your memory a masterpiece! Come visit and speak to me about a special moment (or ordinary one for that matter) you want to capture from your life. Was it your wedding? Where you were engaged? A great expression from your child in a photograph you love? An amazing trip to somewhere special? I can create a uniquely personal artwork of your most precious memories. Come see me or contact me via email @ and let's discuss your vision.

A little more about me. I received my BFA with honors from Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC and my MFA in Illustration with honors from Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I have exhibited in several venues throughout the United States such as Corcoran Gallery of Art, in Washington, DC, Sutter Street Gallery in San Francisco, and Agora Gallery in Soho, NY.
