After graduating from Moore College of Art with a focus in textile design, Karen Fuchs had a weaving studio in Princeton, worked professionally in interior architecture in NYC, taught color and materials at Pratt in Brooklyn, and since moving to Maplewood, has been teaching art and design to children. In the last few years she has developed and taught a class focusing on art forms in nature called “Drawing from Nature”. Her continued interests in organic forms, collecting natural objects, the relationships between the natural and the manmade, have led to the design and creation of custom textiles, cyanotype photography, collage and assemblage.
